Gift Card Activation
Gift Cards must be activated before their first use. The Gift Card owner (Card-Holder) must visit the Gift Card activation link printed on the Gift Card or provided in the original e-mail message to which the digital Gift Card was attached. Once activated, Gift Cards may be redeemed toward purchases at participating merchants. Gift Cards are non-transferable after they are activated.
Gift Card Validity
Each AlottaJava® Gift Card is first issued with an Expiration Date that is 1 year from the Issue Date (where Issue Date is the e-mail delivery date for digital gift cards and the printing date for physical gift cards). Following gift card activation, the new expiration date is 1 year from the activation date. However, the Gift Card funds are available indefinitely. Upon request and upon acceptance of the terms and conditions, the remaining balance of funds will be reissued as a new digital Gift Card (via e-mail) free of charge. Non-Activated Gift Cards are reissued to the delivery e-mail address specified at the time of purchase. Activated Gift Cards are reissued to the e-mail address specified at the time of activation. Gift Cards reissued following a reissue request must be activated and are valid for use until their new Expiration Date.
Redeemable Value
Gift Cards may be redeemed toward the purchase of merchandise and services from participating merchants. Gift Cards do not have any cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
Proof of Redeemed Gift Card
When redeeming Gift Cards, customers may request of the Participating Merchant a verbal statement of the dollar amount redeemed and the transaction confirmation code as proof of Gift Card redemption.
Lost Gift Cards
Upon request, the remaining balance of funds on valid Gift Cards will be reissued as a new digital Gift Card (via e-mail) free of charge. For Gift Cards that have not been activated, reissued Gift Cards will be sent to the delivery e-mail address specified at the time of purchase. For activated Gift Cards, reissued Gift Cards will be sent to the e-mail address specified at the time of activation. Gift Cards will not be reissued if they are determined by AlottaJava® to be invalid for any reason.
Participating Merchants and Their Policies
Customers agree to respect requests by participating merchants to limit the number of redeemed Gift Cards per purchase and to limit the combination of Gift Cards with other promotions / discounts. The list of participating merchants is subject to change without notice.
Cancelling Gift Cards
Customers may cancel purchased digital Gift Cards (delivered via e-mail), provided that they cancel 48-hours or more prior to the Gift card delivery date. In order to cancel, customers must provide the Invoice ID, the Invoice Line Item Number, the dollar amount of the Gift Card(s) and the original e-mail address to which the Gift Card(s) are scheduled to be delivered. After successful cancellation, customers agree to allow 5-7 weeks for any refunds to be fully processed and to appear on their financial statement. The full purchase price of the cancelled gift card(s), less a 30-cent cancellation fee per cancelled Gift Card, will be refunded to the original method of payment (e.g. credit card). The purchase of physical gift cards is final and non-refundable.
Credit for Returned Merchandise and Cancelled Services
Customers who return merchandise or cancel services purchased with an AlottaJava® Gift Card will conduct the return / cancellation with the merchant from whom the merchandise / services were purchased and will receive their refund (if a refund is due) in the form of store credit issued by the merchant. This store credit is available for exclusive use at the merchant from whom the returned merchandise / cancelled services were purchased and is subject to the merchant’s policies, terms and conditions.
Privacy
AlottaJava® does not collect any Customer financial information. AlottaJava® will not sell, transfer or in any way distribute or disclose private Customer information to unaffiliated third parties. The Card-Holder is responsible for maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of personal information associated with their Gift Card, including their e-mail address and PIN. AlottaJava® is not responsible nor is AlottaJava® liable for any Gift Card funds lost because of intentional and / or accidental PIN and / or e-mail disclosure.
Additional Terms and Conditions
Customers / Card-Holders agree to abide by the terms outlined herein and by the decisions of AlottaJava®, which are final, binding and non-appealable, on all AlottaJava® matters. AlottaJava® reserves the right to invalidate any Gift Card that it determines, at its sole discretion, is ineligible for redemption. Recipients of Gift Cards are responsible for all tax liabilities, if any, on their gifts. The AlottaJava® Gift Card program is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AlottaJava® reserves the right to change or cancel the AlottaJava® Gift Card program at any time, at its sole discretion.
